Dr. Jaeyoung Park, who earned his doctorate in POSTECH’s Electrical Engineering Energy Systems Laboratory (ESL), advised by Professor Youngjin Kim, joined Konkuk University’s School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering as an assistant professor in July 2025.
After researching power systems, renewable energy, and renewable generation under Professor Kim, Dr. Park served as a senior researcher at the Korea Institute of Energy Research (KIER).
At POSTECH, he successfully conducted major academic projects through outstanding research capabilities and initiative. He published three first-author papers in leading power engineering journals: two in IEEE Transactions on Smart Grid and one in IEEE Transactions on Power Systems. He also coauthored numerous papers in IEEE Transactions on Power Systems, IEEE Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurement, IEEE Transactions on Industry Applications, and Energies.
He received four Outstanding Paper Awards at Korean Institute of Electrical Engineers conferences between 2019 and 2021.
At Konkuk University, Dr. Park will teach power system control and applications and pursue in-depth R&D on next-generation power system control technologies to improve grid flexibility and expand renewable energy integration.
