Dr. Yun-kyung Hwang, who earned a PhD in the Energy Systems Laboratory (ESL) of the POSTECH Department of Electrical Engineering under Professor Young-Jin Kim, joined the Department of Electrical Engineering at Hanbat National University as an assistant professor in March 2026.

After conducting research on electric vehicles, power electronics, and motor control under Professor Kim, Dr. Hwang worked as a senior researcher in Hyundai Motor’s AAM division. During doctoral studies at POSTECH, Dr. Hwang successfully carried out several major research projects with outstanding research capabilities and initiative, publishing three first-author papers in leading power electronics journals, including IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics and IEEE Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurement. Dr. Hwang also coauthored several papers in IEEE Access.

At Hanbat National University, Dr. Hwang will teach control engineering and conduct in-depth research and development on fault-tolerant control for aviation motors and high-precision sensorless control.
