Min-gon Cho, a PhD student in the POSTECH Department of Electrical Engineering advised by Professor Kyung-Tae Kim, has been selected as a recipient of an IEEE ICASSP Conference Travel Grant supporting participation in the 2026 IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech, and Signal Processing (ICASSP 2026). ICASSP 2026 will be held in Barcelona, Spain, from May 4 to 8, 2026.

The IEEE ICASSP Conference Travel Grant is administered by the IEEE Signal Processing Society (SPS). It supports a limited number of ICASSP participants selected through a comprehensive review of their research achievements and potential contributions to the conference. Selection from a large pool of applicants represents meaningful recognition of the recipient’s research capabilities and international academic activities.

Cho will present “MUSIC-GUIDED POINT-SCATTERER ATTENTION FOR SAR SUPER-RESOLUTION” at ICASSP 2026. Targeting synthetic aperture radar (SAR) super-resolution, the study reports improved reconstruction performance through an attention mechanism that uses MUSIC-based point-scatterer information.
