Articles | 2026-02-02

Dr. Hae-yeon Park, a PhD graduate of the CTRL Laboratory in the POSTECH Department of Electrical Engineering, advised by Professor Jung-Hoon Kim, will join the School of Electrical Engineering at Pukyong National University as an assistant professor on March 3, at the start of the spring 2026 semester.

Under Professor Kim’s supervision, Dr. Park studied control theory and applications. The doctoral research included a new analysis of humanoid walking stability and algorithms for computing safe regions for bipedal locomotion. Over the past five years, this work led to eight lead-author papers in SCIE-indexed international journals ranked in the top 10% and at leading control and robotics conferences, including ICRA and CDC.

At Pukyong National University, Dr. Park will teach control and robotics, develop a theoretical framework for robust sampled-data control using differential linear matrix inequalities (DLMIs), and develop robust optimal control methods for networked systems.
