Professor Yo-sep Jeon of POSTECH's Department of Electrical Engineering has been selected for the 2025 IEEE Communications Society Asia-Pacific Outstanding Young Researcher Award.

This prestigious award recognizes researchers under 35 in the Asia-Pacific region with exceptional achievements in communications. Professor Jeon was honored for academic excellence and international research contributions in AI/ML-based next-generation wireless communications.

He is the only Korean among last year's and this year's recipients, adding to the significance of the award.

The ceremony is scheduled for December at IEEE GLOBECOM, a leading international communications conference, in Taipei, Taiwan.
