Professor Namyoon Lee of POSTECH’s Department of Electrical Engineering has been appointed to the Executive Editorial Committee (EEC) of IEEE Transactions on Wireless Communications (TWC, impact factor 10.7), one of the world’s most prestigious wireless communications journals.
TWC is among the most influential journals in the field. The EEC is its key decision-making body, overseeing editorial direction, review standards, and paper quality management. It comprises eight leading experts selected worldwide. Professor Lee is only the second Korean researcher appointed to the committee, a meaningful recognition of his academic achievements, technical expertise, and international standing.
Professor Lee served actively as a TWC editor from 2020 to 2025 and was appointed to the EEC in recognition of his outstanding contributions to paper review.
He said he was deeply honored to contribute to academic advancement through a leading wireless communications journal and would do his utmost to maintain a scholarly ecosystem that researchers worldwide can trust.
The appointment demonstrates POSTECH Electrical Engineering’s world-class research capabilities and influence and is expected to further strengthen competitiveness in wireless communications, 6G, and satellite communications.
