Professor Boo-gyun Park of POSTECH's Department of Electrical Engineering has been elected 2026 President-Elect of the Institute of Control, Robotics, and Systems (ICROS), Korea's largest academic organization in control.
Founded in 1994, ICROS publishes domestic and international journals, including the SCOPUS-indexed Journal of Institute of Control, Robotics and Systems and the SCI Expanded-indexed International Journal of Control, Automation, and Systems. It organizes conferences such as ICROS and ICCAS.
Through exchanges with international organizations including IFAC, ISA, SICE, IEEE R&A, CAA, CAAI, and CACS, it strengthens Korea's international competitiveness in automatic control, instrumentation, and systems.
Professor Park was selected in recognition of his research in robust control and adaptive filtering and his service on conference organizing committees. His official term as ICROS President is scheduled to begin in 2027.
