Min-hee Lee, a master's student, and Tae-seon Yeom, an integrated master's/Ph.D. student in Professor Jae-ho Lee's laboratory in POSTECH's Department of Electrical Engineering, have each been selected for the Master's Student Research Incentive Program under the National Research Foundation of Korea's 2025 Science and Engineering Academic Research Support Program.

Each student will receive KRW 12 million in research funding over the next year.

Min-hee Lee will study “Real-Time Video Restoration Algorithms Specialized for Confocal Microscopy Images,” developing AI-based ultrafast image processing technology that enables immediate cancer diagnosis in the operating room.

Tae-seon Yeom will study “Accelerating the Training of Neural Operators Based on Implicit Neural Representations,” developing technology to reduce the cost of representing high-dimensional signals, such as 3D images and physical simulations, as artificial neural networks.
