Min-gon Cho, a Ph.D. student in POSTECH's Department of Electrical Engineering advised by Professor Kyung-tae Kim, has been selected for the National Research Foundation of Korea's 2025 Science and Engineering Academic Research Support Program (Ph.D. Student Research Incentive Grants).

The program cultivates future researchers by supporting creative and challenging research led by students in integrated master's/Ph.D. and Ph.D. programs in science and engineering in Korea. Projects are selected through a comprehensive evaluation of the research proposal's quality, representative achievements, and the advisor's supervision plan.

Selected projects receive KRW 50 million in funding for research and academic activities over a period of up to two years.

Cho proposed the topic “Design of a Deep Learning-Based Super-Resolution Network for SAR Images” and was selected in the applied artificial intelligence category.
