Jae-min Seo, an integrated master's/Ph.D. student in POSTECH's Department of Electrical Engineering advised by Professor Seok-hyeong Kang, received an Honorable Mention in the International Symposium on Physical Design 2022 (ISPD 2022) Contest: Security Closure of Physical Layouts, held March 27–30, 2022.

The contest is among the most prestigious in electronic design automation (EDA). This year's challenge addressed defenses against hardware Trojans and fault injection alongside the power, performance, and area (PPA) of physical layouts.

Eighteen teams worldwide entered, eight advanced to the finals, and the POSTECH team ultimately received an Honorable Mention.
