The department held an orientation for new graduate students entering in the 2012 academic year on January 26, 2012, at the LG Research Building Auditorium.

Approximately 50 students attended. Sessions introduced academic affairs, research and purchasing/assets administration, business travel applications and expense settlement, BK programs, and facilities/safety management to help students understand and adapt to the department.

From that afternoon, students joined a membership-building retreat at Daemyung Resort in Gyeongju on January 26–27, strengthening their sense of belonging and pride in Electrical Engineering.

Self-introductions, laboratory research introductions, and group discussions helped build relationships. Organized by the Graduate Student Council President, the retreat shared practical graduate-school information and advice from senior students, helping newcomers adapt more quickly to their laboratories.
