The following students were selected for the Kwon Oh-hyun Scholarship, supported by funds donated to Electrical Engineering by Oh-hyun Kwon, President of Samsung Electronics' semiconductor business, for POSTECH's development.

Recipients: Seung-hoon Kim and Cheol-ho Han (fourth year); Bit Kim and Kyung-yoon Park (third year).

Date: Friday, April 1. Venue: Department Chair's Office.

Eligibility: Promising Electrical Engineering undergraduates entering their third year with excellent academic records.

Support: KRW 2.5 million per semester for two semesters.

Established with funds donated by Oh-hyun Kwon, President of Samsung Electronics' Semiconductor System LSI Division, the scholarship has operated since fall 2005. The department named Room 405 in Engineering Building 2 the Kwon Oh-hyun Seminar Room. Two third-year students are selected annually, and previous recipients in their fourth year who maintain the required academic standing also receive scholarships.
