Professor Hae-wook Han of Electrical Engineering Receives an Outstanding Invention Award for an SK hynix Industry–University Research Project.

Professor Hae-wook Han of the Department of Electrical Engineering recently received an SK hynix Outstanding Invention Patent Award for an industry–university research project.

Professor Han's Nano-Bio THz Photonics Laboratory has collaborated with SK hynix on CMOS image sensor development. The awarded patent concerns a new sensor design technology based on nano-optics theory and is expected to contribute significantly to improving SK hynix image sensor performance.

SK hynix selects outstanding patents filed during joint research projects with partner universities for these awards. This was the second annual awards program, following last year's inaugural event.

The ceremony took place on the 17th of last month at SK hynix headquarters in Icheon, Gyeonggi Province. (EE)
