Research Associate Professor Ju-ho Jeong of the Department of Electrical Engineering recently received a ministerial commendation from the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy for contributions to renewable energy industry development and technological innovation.
To resolve radio-wave issues arising during renewable energy construction, Professor Jeong developed EMI/EMC and radio-wave analysis technologies by combining expertise in propagation characteristics, radar signal processing, military operations, and economics. He was recognized for using these tools to resolve conflicts between government bodies and improve identified problems.
The Renewable Energy Awards, organized by the ministry and the Korea Energy Management Corporation, recognize contributors to renewable energy development across society. Now in their eighth year, the awards recognize one recipient annually in the technology development category.
The ceremony was held on the 15th at COEX in Seoul. (End / EE)
