The following students were selected for scholarships from the Kwon Oh-hyun Fund.
Recipients: Seung-won Do, Won-kyung Jeong, Hye-yeon Choi, Ji-hoon Cha, Jun-hee Lee, and Hyeong-taek Lee.
Date and time: Thursday, March 17, at 17:00.
Eligibility: Promising Electrical Engineering undergraduates entering their third year with excellent academic records.
Support: KRW 3 million per semester for two semesters.
The fund was established with a donation to Electrical Engineering from Oh-hyun Kwon, President of Samsung Electronics' Semiconductor System LSI Division, to support POSTECH's development, and has operated since fall 2005. The department named Room 405 in Engineering Building 2 the Kwon Oh-hyun Seminar Room. Two third-year students are selected annually, and previous recipients in their fourth year who maintain the required academic standing also receive scholarships.
