The following recipients were selected for the Kwon Oh-hyun Scholarship, funded by a donation to the Department of Electrical Engineering from Oh-hyun Kwon, President of Samsung Electronics' semiconductor business, to support POSTECH's development.

Recipients: Seol-hwa Kim (fourth year), Seok-il Moon (fourth year), Seung-hyun Moon (third year), and Dae-hyun Ahn (third year).

Ceremony date: Friday, April 11.

Eligibility: Promising Electrical Engineering undergraduates entering their third year with excellent academic records.

Support: KRW 3 million per semester for two semesters.

The scholarship was established with funds donated by Oh-hyun Kwon, President of Samsung Electronics' Semiconductor System LSI Division, and has been offered since fall 2005. The department named Room 405 in Engineering Building 2 the Kwon Oh-hyun Seminar Room. Two third-year students are selected each year, and previous recipients in their fourth year who maintain the required academic standing also receive scholarships.
