The following recipients were selected for living-expense support from the Kwon Oh-hyun Fund, established through a donation to Electrical Engineering from Oh-hyun Kwon, President of Samsung Electronics' semiconductor business, for POSTECH's development.

Recipients: Dae-hyun Ahn, Hye-yeon Choi, Won-kyung Jeong, Seung-won Do, and Seung-hyun Moon.

Date and time: Friday, March 18, at 17:00.

Eligibility: Promising Electrical Engineering undergraduates entering their third year with excellent academic records.

Support: KRW 3 million per semester for two semesters.

The fund was established with a donation from Oh-hyun Kwon, President of Samsung Electronics' Semiconductor System LSI Division, and has operated since fall 2005. The department named Room 405 in Engineering Building 2 the Kwon Oh-hyun Seminar Room. Two third-year students are selected annually, and previous recipients in their fourth year who maintain the required academic standing also receive scholarships.
