Outstanding Paper Award at the KICS 2015 Fall Conference

Gi-seok Jeon and Bhuvan Adhikari, graduate students in POSTECH's Department of Electrical Engineering, together with their advisor Professor Jun-ho Cho, received an Outstanding Paper Award at the 2015 Fall Conference of the Korean Institute of Communications and Information Sciences (KICS).

Their paper compared the performance of two transmission methods in a 2-Tx Alamouti-coded OFDM system using measurements from prototype systems: transmitting a codeword on each subcarrier and transmitting two codewords on adjacent subcarriers.

Only five of the 345 papers presented at the fall conference received Outstanding Paper Awards. The awards ceremony took place at the winter conference held on January 21 at the High1 Resort Convention Hotel.
