Best Student Paper Awards at ISMOT 2017

Ph.D. student Byeong-soo Kang and integrated master's/Ph.D. student Bo-hyun Yoo, advised by Professor Kyung-tae Kim, and Ph.D. students Jun-ho Park and Du-seok Choi, advised by Professor Won-bin Hong, received Best Student Paper Awards at the 16th International Symposium on Microwave and Optical Technology (ISMOT 2017).

The symposium was jointly organized by KIEES, the University of Nevada, and POSTECH, with Professor Emeritus Wee-sang Park as organizing chair.

Recipients: Jun-ho Park, scheduled to enter the Ph.D. program in September, and Du-seok Choi, Ph.D. student. Advisor: Won-bin Hong. Paper: “Optimization of Vertical Transition Utilizing Patterned Grooves on Ground Plane for Frequencies up to 50 GHz.”

Recipients: Byeong-soo Kang, Ph.D. student, and Bo-hyun Yoo, integrated student. Advisor: Kyung-tae Kim. Paper: “Rotational Motion Compensation for Bistatic ISAR Imaging of Non-Uniformly Rotating Targets.”
