Professor Nam-yoon Lee of POSTECH's Department of Electrical Engineering has renewed a research agreement with Intel Labs in the United States, following last year's agreement, for approximately USD 75,000 per year.
The project will develop core technologies for beyond-5G mobile communications and include personnel exchanges such as graduate student internships.
The topic, “Physical Layer Design for Millimeter Wave Communication Systems with Low-Resolution ADCs,” aims to establish theoretical limits and develop practical transmission and reception algorithms for low-power millimeter-wave systems.
Intel Labs in Santa Clara, California, leads future technology research at Intel and works with leading universities on next-generation semiconductors and communications. The renewed agreement is expected to broaden research exchanges between Intel Labs and POSTECH.
