Professor Nam-yoon Lee's Project Selected by Samsung's Future Technology Development Center

Professor Nam-yoon Lee's team, with participating Professor Kyung-chul Yang, has been selected for Samsung Electronics' Future Technology Development Center program for “6G Wireless Communication Systems: Ultrawideband, Ultralow-Power Terabit Communication Beyond the Nyquist Limit.”

The project aims to establish theoretical limits and develop practical transmission and reception algorithms for low-power broadband communication systems beyond the Nyquist limit.

Samsung Electronics has operated its Future Technology Development Program since 2013, contributing a total of KRW 1.5 trillion over ten years to support national future science and technology in basic science, materials, ICT, and new and future technologies.

Project: 6G Wireless Communication Systems — Ultrawideband, Ultralow-Power Terabit Communication Beyond the Nyquist Limit.

Period: December 2017–January 2021, stated as four years in total (two years plus two years).

Total funding: KRW 1.4 billion.

Participating professors: Kyung-chul Yang, POSTECH; Song-nam Hong, Ajou University.
