Professor Jun-il Choi of POSTECH's Department of Electrical Engineering has been selected for the IEEE ComSoc Asia-Pacific Outstanding Young Researcher Award.

The IEEE Communications Society selects professors and researchers in the Asia-Pacific region who have produced outstanding research over the preceding three years. Following approximately two months of evaluation, Professor Choi and six other researchers were selected this year.

The awards ceremony is scheduled for IEEE GLOBECOM in December.

Professor Choi has conducted research across massive multiple-antenna systems for wireless communications and has received numerous paper awards for outstanding achievements in his field.
