The Oh-Hyun Kwon Scholarship presentation ceremony was held using funds donated to the Department of Electrical Engineering by the Chairman and CEO of Samsung Electronics and Chairman of the Samsung Advanced Institute of Technology to support POSTECH’s development.
- Scholarship recipients: Geun-woo Kim, Jae-ho Lee, Hyun-woo Na, Min-je Kim, Song-hyeon Guk, Ye-eun Jin, and Hyeong-taek Lee.

Eligibility: Academically outstanding Electrical Engineering undergraduates entering their third year who show strong future potential.
Scholarship: KRW 3 million per semester for two semesters.
The Oh-Hyun Kwon Scholarship was established with a donation from Chairman Kwon and has operated since the fall semester of 2005. The department named Room 405 in Engineering Building 2 the Oh-Hyun Kwon Seminar Room. Each year, three third-year EE undergraduates are selected, and recipients entering their fourth year may receive one additional year of support if they maintain the required academic performance.
