A team of Professors Byungsub Kim, Junil Choi, Wonbin Hong, Younyoung Chung, and Youngjoo Lee from POSTECH Electrical Engineering was selected for the Ministry of Information and Communication’s group research support program (Basic Research Laboratory), overcoming a competition ratio of 11.6 to 1. Their project is titled “Ultrahigh-Speed In-Body Data Transmission Technology for Real-Time High-Resolution In-Vivo Imaging.”

Through multidisciplinary research, Professor Kim’s team will investigate ultrahigh-speed transmission technology that sends high-resolution images from inside the body to an external receiver in real time.
