Professor Ho-jin Song of POSTECH's Department of Electrical Engineering has been selected as an IEEE Distinguished Microwave Lecturer (DML) on the recommendation of the IEEE Microwave Theory and Techniques Society.
IEEE, the world's largest electrical and electronic engineering society with more than 400,000 members, selects researchers with outstanding academic achievements as Distinguished Lecturers to give invited talks at hundreds of IEEE conferences and more than 100 chapters worldwide.
Two or three DMLs are selected worldwide each year for three-year terms. During his 2019–2021 term, Professor Song will give more than ten lectures worldwide annually on microwave circuits and ultrahigh-speed communication/radar systems in the terahertz band, described as humanity's last radio-wave resource.
