Hyun-seong Kim, a third-year undergraduate in POSTECH's Department of Electrical Engineering who entered in 2015 and is advised by Professor Oh-hyun Kim, received the Ministry of Education's 2018 Talent Award of Korea.
He was recognized for co-founding the media startup Geekble with Chan-hoo Park of POSTECH Computer Science and Engineering and leading the popularization of science and engineering through media content.
Since establishing the company in January 2017, they have successfully produced science and engineering content and secured KRW 800 million in investment from NAVER and technology holding company Soran in just over a year.

The ministry selects 100 recipients annually to identify future national leaders. This year, 50 high school students and 50 university students and other adults were selected. The ceremony was held on November 30 at the Sejong Center in Seoul.
