Professor Nam-yoon Lee of POSTECH's Department of Electrical Engineering has been appointed Editor of IEEE Communications Letters (SCI, impact factor 2.723), published by IEEE, the largest academic organization in electrical and electronic technology.
He earned his Ph.D. at the University of Texas at Austin, worked at Nokia Research Center in Berkeley and Intel Labs in Santa Clara, California, and joined POSTECH in March 2016. He actively researches 5G/6G wireless communications.
His 5G/6G research has received strong recognition in Korea and abroad, including the 2016 IEEE Outstanding Young Researcher Award and selection for the Samsung Future Technology Development Program.
