Professor Jun-il Choi of POSTECH's Department of Electrical Engineering has been selected for the 2019 IEEE Communications Society Stephen O. Rice Prize.

The prize recognizes a single paper among all those published in IEEE Transactions on Communications over the preceding three years and is one of the society's most prestigious journal paper awards. The ceremony is scheduled for IEEE GLOBECOM in December.

Professor Choi's achievements have also been recognized through the 2013 IEEE GLOBECOM Best Paper Award, the 2015 IEEE Signal Processing Society Best Paper Award, the 2017 IEEE ComSoc Asia-Pacific Young Researcher Award, and selection as a 2018 Young Researcher of the Year by the National Research Foundation of Korea and Elsevier.
