Hyun-seong Kim, a fourth-year undergraduate in POSTECH's Department of Electrical Engineering advised by Professor Young-joo Lee, received a Best Paper Award (Synopsys Award) at the 2019 International SoC Design Conference (ISOCC), organized by the Institute of Semiconductor Engineers and supported by the IEEE Circuits and Systems Society.
In “Design of a low-power BLE5-based wearable device for tracking movements of football players,” Kim designed a compact IoT device that measures athletes' movements in real time and proposed an algorithm that minimizes errors by efficiently fusing measurements from various sensors.
