[Award] Professor Seokhyeong Kang Wins ASP-DAC 10-Year Retrospective Most Influential Paper Award

Awards | 2020-02-19

“Slack Redistribution for Graceful Degradation under Voltage Overscaling,” published by Professor Seokhyeong Kang of POSTECH’s Department of Electrical Engineering, was selected for the 10-Year Retrospective Most Influential Paper Award at ASP-DAC 2020.

Each year, the Asia and South Pacific Design Automation Conference (ASP-DAC) honors one paper with the greatest academic influence in design automation over the preceding decade. At ASP-DAC 2020, Professor Kang’s paper, published in 2010, was selected.

The research proposed a new paradigm for semiconductor design methodology using error-resilient techniques. It was conducted jointly with Andrew B. Kahng (UCSD), Rakesh Kumar (UIUC), and John Satori (University of Minnesota).

Alongside DAC and ICCAD, ASP-DAC is a major conference in semiconductor design automation. ASP-DAC 2020 was held in Beijing, China, from January 13 to 16.
