Students in Professor Wonbin Hong’s POSTECH Electrical Engineering laboratory won awards in Antennas & Propagation, posters, undergraduate papers, and the first Undergraduate Creative Design Competition at the KIEES 2020 Summer Conference. The ceremony took place August 21 at Ramada Plaza Jeju.

1. AP Outstanding Paper: “Optically Invisible Hybrid Electromagnetic Sensors to attain Touch detection and Beamsteering Phased-array.” Recipients: Junho Park, Jonghyun Kim, Dongpil Park, Byungjin Choi, Wonbin Hong. Affiliations: POSTECH and Dongwoo Fine-Chem.

2. Poster Session Outstanding Paper: “A Symmetrically-Stacked Planar Antenna Concept Exhibiting Isotropic Radiation Coverage.” Recipients: Jonghyun Kim, Junho Park, Ahmed Abdelmottaleb Omar, Wonbin Hong. Affiliation: POSTECH.

3. Undergraduate Outstanding Paper: “Concept of a Broadband, Ultracompact Bandpass Filter with Unusual Propagation Characteristics Using Linear Electromagnetic Waves between Two Boundaries.” Recipients: Nayoung Park, Junho Park, Wonbin Hong. Affiliations: POSTECH and Ajou University.

4. First Undergraduate Creative Design Competition Outstanding Paper: “Analysis of Materials’ Electrical Properties Depending on Heat Treatment.” Recipients: Jeonghyo Lee, Minhyuk Kim, Daehyun Kim, Wonbin Hong. Affiliation: POSTECH.
