Professor Youngjin Kim of POSTECH Electrical Engineering has been appointed Associate Editor of IEEE PES Letters, published by IEEE, the largest electrical and electronic engineering academic organization.

Only selected editors from IEEE Transactions on Power Systems (IF 6.663), IEEE Transactions on Smart Grid (IF 8.96), IEEE Transactions on Sustainable Energy (IF 7.917), IEEE Transactions on Energy Conversion (IF 4.312), and IEEE Transactions on Power Delivery (IF 4.131) are appointed to PES Letters, based on their current research fields and standing.

PES Letters focuses on novel, high-impact ideas in power and energy. Accepted papers appear in special sections of these journals.

Professor Kim will review work on real-time smart grid control, optimal operating schedules, and applications of big data and AI involving solar, wind, electric vehicles, and hydrogen energy.

He currently serves as an editor of IEEE Transactions on Smart Grid, IEEE Systems Journal, and IEEE Access, and as a guest editor of IEEE Transactions on Cloud Computing and MDPI Energies.
