The following students were selected for the Kwon Oh-hyun Scholarship, funded by a donation to Electrical Engineering from Oh-hyun Kwon, President of Samsung Electronics' semiconductor business, for POSTECH's development.
Recipients: Hwa-sook Cho, Seung-hwan Choi, Eun-ae Lee, and Ju-seung Kim.

Eligibility: Promising Electrical Engineering undergraduates entering their third year with excellent academic records and financial hardship.
New recipients: Two; support of KRW 1.5 million per semester for two semesters.
The scholarship was established with funds donated by Oh-hyun Kwon, President of Samsung Electronics' Semiconductor System LSI Division, and has operated since fall 2005. Room 405 in Engineering Building 2 was named the Kwon Oh-hyun Seminar Room. Two third-year students are selected annually, and previous recipients in their fourth year who maintain the required academic standing also receive scholarships.
