Yeeun Jang, a PhD student in POSTECH Electrical Engineering (advisor: Professor Young-Jin Kim), was selected for the National Research Foundation of Korea’s 2022 Academic Research Support Program in Science and Engineering, under its next-generation researcher doctoral research fellowship scheme.

The program supports students in combined MS/PhD and doctoral programs conducting academic research in science and engineering in Korea. Applicants’ research proposals and key achievements, along with their advisors’ supervision plans, are reviewed. Funding is provided for up to two years for creative and challenging research topics to help students develop into outstanding researchers. Approximately 300 projects were selected across all fields this year, and Jang was selected in the power technology and equipment field.
