Kang-seop Lee, a Ph.D. student, and Kyung-hwan Kim, an integrated master's/Ph.D. student in Professor Ho-jin Song's research team in POSTECH's Department of Electrical Engineering, received a Best Paper Award at the 14th Global Symposium on Millimeter-Waves & Terahertz (GSMM), held May 18–20, 2022.

Their paper was titled “High DC-to-RF Efficiency E-band Frequency Quadrupler Using Phase-Controlled Push-Push Structure in 28-nm FD-SOI CMOS.”

The paper designed a frequency multiplier for generating millimeter-wave signals and was highly recognized for a circuit design technique that suppresses unwanted harmonics and improves conversion efficiency.
