The Nanoelectronic Systems Laboratory, led by Professor Byoung Hun Lee in POSTECH's Department of Electrical Engineering, has been selected for the Ministry of Science and ICT's core technology development program supporting national semiconductor laboratories.

With KRW 2.375 billion in funding over five years, the laboratory will investigate new devices and architectures based on ultrathin phase-composite materials.

The National Semiconductor Laboratory program is a new ministry initiative intended to strengthen foundational R&D and university semiconductor laboratory capabilities in response to intensifying global competition for semiconductor technology leadership.
