Geunil Song, a doctoral student in POSTECH's Department of Electrical Engineering advised by Professor Junghoon Kim, received an Outstanding Student Paper Award at the Institute of Electronics and Information Engineers (IEIE) 2023 Summer Conference, held June 28–30 at the Lotte Hotel in Jungmun, Jeju.

He presented a paper on selecting control parameters for computed-torque control based on Lur'e-type analysis, with Professor Kim as corresponding author. The award recognizes the work's originality and academic excellence.
