Seong-bin Kim, the 2023 recipient, and Hyun-woo Nam, the 2022 recipient, both Ph.D. students in POSTECH's Department of Electrical Engineering advised by Professor Tae-hyun Oh, were honored at the 2023 SBS Foundation Scholarship ceremony at the Taeyoung Building in Yeouido, Seoul.

Because Nam's ceremony could not be held during the pandemic, he attended this year's ceremony together with the 2023 recipients.

Both students belong to POSTECH Electrical Engineering's Machine Intelligence Laboratory, led by Professor Tae-hyun Oh, marking two consecutive years of awards for the laboratory.

A total of 394 master's and Ph.D. students in Korea and abroad applied for the scholarship, and 15 were ultimately selected. The scholarship, or fellowship, provides each student directly with approximately KRW 100 million over five years and six months.
