Professor Moonjoo Lee of POSTECH Electrical Engineering, as principal investigator, was selected for the National Research Foundation of Korea’s leading quantum technology R&D project, “Generation of Multifunctional Neutral-Atom Qubit Arrays.”
Dr. Gise Lee led the preparation of the proposal. The project aims to generate and control multiple-qubit arrays, a key quantum computing technology, for use in next-generation quantum computers and quantum networks.
The research period is approximately three years (two plus one), with funding of KRW 1.1 billion (KRW 600 million plus KRW 500 million).
Professor Lee’s laboratory is expanding from trapped-ion qubits into neutral-atom qubit systems, focusing on quantum computer development.
