Research published on October 16, 2023 in Applied Physics Letters (APL) by Professor Moonjoo Lee’s Quantum Computing and Quantum Networking Laboratory in POSTECH Electrical Engineering was selected as a cover article. The study demonstrated that an exceptional point, a distinctive phenomenon in open quantum systems, can be observed using a trapped-ion qubit and an optical cavity.

Dr. Jinuk Kim, now a postdoctoral researcher at Yale University, and combined MS/PhD student Taegyu Ha conducted the research as co-first authors. Published by the American Institute of Physics since 1962, APL is a leading journal in applied physics.
