Daehyun Kim, a PhD student, and Youngno Yoon, a postdoctoral researcher in POSTECH’s Department of Electrical Engineering (thesis advisor: Professor Wonbin Hong), received an Encouragement Award and an Excellence Award (KIEES President’s Award), respectively, at the 22nd Radio Science Graduate Student Paper Competition in 2023, jointly hosted by the Korea Communications Agency and the Korean Institute of Electromagnetic Engineering and Science.
Held annually to discover and nurture outstanding radio science talent and support radio technology and policy development, the competition covers emerging radio technologies and future applications, 5G/6G radio policy, antennas, and core technologies for passive/active radio components, devices, and systems.
The authors earned their awards after a rigorous two-stage evaluation among 19 finalists.
