Professor Ho-jin Song of POSTECH's Department of Electrical Engineering has been named a Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) for 2024.
IEEE is the world's largest and one of the most prestigious academic organizations in electrical engineering, electronics, computing, and communications, with approximately 400,000 members in around 160 countries. Fellow, its highest membership grade, is awarded within the top 0.1% of the membership following rigorous review against seven criteria, including outstanding individual research achievements, technical accomplishments, and leadership in a specialized field.
Professor Song was recognized for major contributions to terahertz communication technology, which is attracting attention as a key technology for next-generation wireless communication systems. His IEEE Fellowship will take effect on January 1, 2024.
