[Award] Top Prize at the Chip Design Contest

Jong-hoon Kim, advised by Professor Hong-june Park, wins a top prize at the Chip Design Contest.

At the ISOCC 2009 Chip Design Contest, held on the 23rd at the BEXCO Convention Hall in Busan by KAIST's IC Design Education Center (IDEC), directed by Professor Jong-min Kyung, POSTECH's Jong-hoon Kim and Sejong University's Dong-seok Kim received the top prizes in the Best Design and Xilinx categories, respectively.

A total of 66 papers were presented, and 66 university teams from across Korea competed, with 19 demonstration entries and 47 panel entries.

Director Kyung said the event provides a venue for sharing technology and actively exchanging information in semiconductor and system design. He explained that it aims to strengthen Korea's semiconductor design competitiveness through activities such as fabricating chips reflecting the latest technologies and trends at domestic and overseas foundries.
