[Award] Professor Byoung Hun Lee’s Team Wins Outstanding Poster Awards at the 31st KCS

Awards | 2024-06-11

Kiyoung Kim, Minjae Kim, and Jaehyun Jeon, PhD students in POSTECH’s Department of Electrical Engineering (advisor: Professor Byoung Hun Lee), received three Outstanding Poster Awards at the 31st Korean Conference on Semiconductors (KCS 2024).

They presented, respectively, “ZnO/Te Complementary Field-Effect Transistors Using a Vertical Stacking Process,” “Analysis of Low-Temperature Characteristics of P-Type Tellurium FETs,” and “Scalability Study of Delta-Conductance Switching Devices for Logic Applications.”

The papers presented various application technologies, including CFETs, pFETs, and anti-ambipolar switches, using ultrathin semiconductors for next-generation computing environments. The significance of the research extends beyond exploring new device structures: it establishes a key foundation for developing future semiconductor technologies beyond silicon.

These technologies also demonstrated the potential to maximize the electrical properties of ultrathin materials, reduce power consumption, and improve operating speed.

Now in its 31st year, KCS 2024 is Korea’s largest semiconductor academic event. It featured a record 1,376 papers and drew 3,462 participants.
