[Award] Jaehee Kim (Integrated MS/PhD Student) Selected for IEEE CASS Student Travel Grant

Awards | 2024-06-11

Jaehee Kim, an integrated MS/PhD student in POSTECH’s Department of Electrical Engineering (advisor: Professor Youngjoo Lee), has been selected as a recipient of an IEEE Circuits and Systems Society (CASS) Student Travel Grant.

Each year, IEEE CASS awards Student Travel Grants to students who have achieved outstanding results in circuits and systems, helping them freely share innovative ideas at the society’s flagship conferences.

Kim was selected as a recipient this year in recognition of the excellence of “Constrained sorter design using zero-one principle,” presented at the IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems (ISCAS), held in Singapore on May 19–22.

The study proposed the world’s first design framework for efficiently designing constrained sorters used in major signal-processing algorithms. It reported sorter implementations that surpass the limitations of conventional heuristic optimization methods.
