Jihoon Ha, a doctoral student in the Department of Electrical Engineering advised by Professor Youngjin Kim, received the President's Award from the Korea Institute of Energy Technology Evaluation and Planning (KETEP) in the New Industry Global category for outstanding students in its energy workforce development program.
The award recognizes his outstanding publications, patents, and technology transfers stemming from the development of photovoltaic energy fault diagnosis and output control technology.
KETEP's energy workforce development program trains energy technology professionals to address workforce supply–demand imbalances in Korea's energy industry and respond to changes in national energy policy. Each year, the program recognizes outstanding research achievements by participating laboratories and supported students at an awards ceremony.
