[News] Professor Rok-hyun Baek Appointed to the IEEE VLSI Symposium Technical Program Committee

Articles | 2025-01-06

Professor Rok-hyun Baek of POSTECH's Department of Electrical Engineering has been appointed to the Technical Program Committee of the IEEE Symposium on VLSI Technology and Circuits.

Now in its 44th year, the symposium is one of the world's two leading conferences in semiconductor devices and processes, alongside the International Electron Devices Meeting (IEDM), and alternates annually between the United States and Japan.

It presents the latest semiconductor research and selects a small number of exceptional papers submitted by companies and academia worldwide.

Professor Baek is expected to contribute to developing and evaluating integration technologies combining advanced logic devices — Gate-All-Around Nanosheet FETs (GAA NSFETs) and Complementary FETs (CFETs) — with backside power delivery networks (BS-PDNs), a new interconnect technology suitable for 3D integrated circuits.
