Doctoral student Myunghoon Kim and integrated master's/doctoral students Hyegoo Lee and Donggun Kim from Professor Moonjoo Lee's laboratory in the Department of Electrical Engineering won outstanding presentation awards at the 2024 fall meeting.

Myunghoon Kim presented experimental research on order–disorder transitions in trapped ions. Hyegoo Lee presented the cooling and creation of entangled states of ion qubits. Donggun Kim presented an experiment trapping neutral-atom qubits inside an optical cavity using an optical lattice.

The Atomic and Molecular Physics Division presented six outstanding presentation awards in total, three of which went to Professor Lee's laboratory.
