Professor Wonbin Hong of POSTECH Electrical Engineering received the 29th Young Engineer Award from the National Academy of Engineering of Korea (NAEK).

Professor Hong was recognized for developing and commercializing foundational antenna-in-package technology for 5G, inventing the world’s first antenna-on-display technology, and pioneering antenna design approaches for wireless terminals.

The NAEK Young Engineer Award is presented annually to engineers who have contributed substantially to Korean industry through engineering technology, research, education, or management. It recognizes lifetime achievements rather than a single accomplishment, and candidates must be under 50 years of age.
