[Award] Do-won Lee, Hye-gu Lee, and Yong-ha Shin Receive Korean Physical Society Presentation Awards

Do-won Lee, a Ph.D. student, and Hye-gu Lee and Yong-ha Shin, integrated master's/Ph.D. students in Professor Moon-joo Lee's laboratory in POSTECH's Department of Electrical Engineering, each received an Outstanding Presentation Award at the Korean Physical Society's Spring 2025 Meeting.

Do-won Lee received an oral presentation award for observing an exceptional point in an atom–optical resonator system. Hye-gu Lee received a poster award for pulse shaping to implement selective mode control and quantum entanglement in an ion-trap quantum computer. Yong-ha Shin received an oral award for experimental cooling of the motional states of 64 ions to their ground states.

The annual spring meeting brings physicists and industry representatives from across Korea together to share the latest research. This year's meeting was held in April 2025 and featured work in atomic and molecular physics, condensed-matter physics, quantum science and technology, and other divisions.
